HydroWorx EVO underwater treadmill that introduces advanced aquatic therapy to individuals grappling with neurological challenges
Adapt is a world-renowned integrative recovery center focused on deploying hands-on rehabilitation therapies and emerging technologies to optimize the rehabilitation potential for anyone living with a neurological injury or disease. An underwater treadmill will allow Adapt to improve the quality of life for clients impacted by chronic neurological conditions including spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, transverse myelitis, Parkinson's Disease, and spina bifida.
Replacement roof for their Hidden Valley House transitional shelter, which is a safe house for hundreds of women and families in desperate need of transitional housing
Center for Community Solutions (CCS) is dedicated to ending relationship and sexual violence. CCS provides trauma-informed, wraparound services to empower survivors as they heal and recover from trauma. CCS’ free services include a 24/7 confidential crisis hotline, four domestic violence shelters, counseling, legal services, safety planning, and prevention education. A new roof for their transitional shelter will allow CCS to continue serving as the regional leader in the prevention and intervention of sexual and relationship violence.
Vehicle to transport dogs to vet visits, evaluations, and training, as well as to public venues throughout San Diego for socialization outings and outreach events.
Guide Dogs of America breeds, raises, and trains guide dogs for individuals who are blind or visually impaired, as well as service dogs for veterans and children with autism. They also place facility dogs with professionals in hospitals, schools, and courtrooms. Their highly skilled canines become trusted companions, helping to increase confidence, mobility, and independence for their human partners. A new transport vehicle will allow Guide Dogs of America to fulfill their mission to transform lives through partnerships with service dogs.
Cargo van that will support their work in the areas of Community Engagement, Communications, Video Production Services, and News, thereby enriching the lives of the residents they serve
As the largest public media outlet in the region, KPBS is committed to serving all of San Diego County’s residents. They reach more than one million audience members weekly using multiple media platforms, including television, radio, and digital media. A new cargo van will help KPBS fulfill their mission to serve the people in our community with trustworthy, in-depth stories that make us think, help us dream, and keep us connected.
Refrigerated van that will be used to collect generous donations of perishable and non-perishable food in order to provide homeless youth with nutritious meals and food stability.
Urban Street Angels helps tackle youth homelessness in San Diego by providing supportive housing, meals, and job training programs for transition-aged youth (18-25 years old). A refrigerated van will allow Urban Street Angels to help provide food stability for the youth who receive life sustaining services through their program.
Truck to support their "Browse Program,” a county-wide effort to harvest and transport trees, bushes, and other appropriate flora to help feed the animals in their care.
The Zoological Society of San Diego is committed to saving species worldwide by uniting their expertise in animal care and conservation science. Their Browse Program is essential to the health and well-being of their animals, since fresh, varied vegetation provides superior nutrition and mental stimulation. A new work truck will allow the society’s Browse Team to continue providing the highest level of care for the animals at their facilities.
