Dear Las Patronas Grant Applicant,

We are very pleased you are applying for a Las Patronas grant.  Since 1946, Las Patronas has raised funds through the annual Jewel Ball in support of nonprofits throughout San Diego County working in the areas of health, education, social services and the cultural arts.  Our goal is to strengthen these organizations and broaden their reach in our community by providing grants that will directly benefit their clientele.

With this objective in mind, please consider and provide all of the information that is requested in the application.  Las Patronas awards grants for the purchase of critically needed capital items only.  We do not fund salaries, operating budgets, endowments, service contracts, extended warranties, capital campaigns, or built-in inflationary cushions (should you suspect that the price of your capital item may increase between the time of your application and your potential grant allocation). 

In reviewing your application, Las Patronas pays close attention to the value of the item(s) requested in terms of its scope within the community and the critical need it fulfills, its priority within your organization, and its ultimate impact on your constituency.
